Introduction du produit
General-Purpose Precipitated Silica One grade across food, oral care, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics — prepared for Brazil and Latin America A single multi-industry grade of high-purity amorphous hydrated silica, produced by controlled wet precipitation. It is built to meet international quality benchmarks and, at the same time, the documentation Brazilian regulators expect — so a formulator can qualify one material instead of four. The grade serves four primary sectors: food manufacturing, oral care, pharmaceutical excipients and personal care cosmetics. Industrial and feed-additive uses are supported as secondary applications. Particle size, pore structure and impurity levels are all adjustable, so buyers do not need to source and qualify a separate silica for every production line. For manufacturers and brand owners in Brazil and across Latin America, the practical result is fewer SKUs, simpler inventory and a shorter qualification workload. Manufacturer Zhongqi Shandong Silicon Material Co., Ltd. produces high-performance precipitated silica in Shandong, China. The company is a national high-tech enterprise and holds eight independent patents covering silica production technology. Six automated production lines give an annual capacity above 80,000 tonnes, which supports continuous large-volume supply. General-purpose silica runs under GMP-based management. Food- and pharmaceutical-grade products are made in a closed environment to prevent cross-contamination. Traceability covers raw-material intake, reaction, finished-product testing, packing and dispatch. Every batch carries its own code, and the production and test records behind that code are retained for audit. For Brazilian customers we supply the Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Certificate of Analysis (COA) and method-validation reports. Our technical team supports ANVISA registration dossiers and import compliance declarations, and can arrange document legalisation and consular authentication where the registration route requires it — work that usually removes the documentation bottleneck from a launch schedule. Material is already supplied in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia, and specifications have been adapted to Brazilian application and regulatory conditions. Particle size, specific surface area and oil absorption are customizable. Customers include multinational FMCG groups operating in Brazil and local leaders in food, oral care, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, feed and industrial processing. They support customs clearance, market access and registration dossiers for silica imported into Brazil. 1.USP/NF Silicon Dioxide monograph — produced to the United States Pharmacopeia monograph; applicable to pharmaceutical excipient and food-grade use, and supports ANVISA pharmaceutical and food registration. 2.ISO 22000:2018 — food safety management system applied across the whole production process. 3.GMP for cosmetic and pharmaceutical raw materials — workshop management meets GMP requirements for pharmaceutical and cosmetic production. 4.ISO 9001:2015 — full-process quality management certification. 5.SHC HALAL — halal certification for the Brazilian halal food and cosmetic market. 6.OU KOSHER — kosher certification for kosher food and cosmetic production. 7.FDA 21 CFR food-contact compliance — complies with US FDA 21 CFR requirements for food-contact materials, widely accepted as a compliance basis for food-contact use in Brazil. 8.FAMI-QS — conforms to the EU feed-additive quality system; supports MAPA registration for feed ingredients. 9.Eight national patents on precipitated silica production — independent intellectual property covering production technology. 10.National High-Tech Enterprise (China) — official recognition of R&D capability. Core product features 1. Purity and impurity control Purity reaches ≥ 97.5% SiO₂ on an ignited basis through raw-material screening, multi-stage purification and closed production. Arsenic, lead and mercury are held to the limits in the table above, and microbial counts are controlled for food, oral-care and cosmetic use. Each batch is tested in full before dispatch, and the test record ships with the lot — which is what allows the material to be used in products that fall under ANVISA's health and safety requirements. 2. Chemical stability and formulation compatibility Amorphous hydrated silica is chemically stable and inert under neutral and mildly acidic or alkaline conditions, and does not react with the active ingredients and base materials normally used in these systems. It is compatible with fluoride systems (sodium fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate) in oral care, with APIs in solid dosage forms, with vitamins and additives in food, and with emollients, preservatives and actives in cosmetics. Adsorption of actives is low in typical use; we still recommend a short compatibility check in the customer's own formula before scale-up. 3. Adjustable parameters and custom grades Our R&D and technical teams adjust particle size distribution, pore structure, oil absorption, bulk density and RDA value to match the application and the positioning of the finished product. That covers high-abrasion whitening toothpaste that needs cleaning power, food anti-caking grades that need flow, pharmaceutical glidants that need complete safety documentation, and cosmetic matting grades that need skin feel. Support runs from sample testing through to scale-up verification. 4. Batch-to-batch consistency Particle size, pH and whiteness are monitored online during production, and quality control runs from incoming material through to finished goods. Deviation between lots is held inside a narrow band, so customers do not have to re-tune formulas every time a new batch arrives. That lowers adjustment cost and supports continuous large-scale production. Why this grade fits the Brazilian market 1. One qualified grade across four sectors Food, oral care, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics share the same base material, with industrial and feed uses supported alongside. For Brazilian groups running several businesses, one qualification covers supplier development, incoming inspection and inventory planning for multiple product lines — and cuts the number of SKUs carried. 2. Documentation support for market entry The certificate set is widely accepted in Brazil, and we prepare the full dossier needed for ANVISA registration and MAPA registration of feed products. We also support document legalisation and consular authentication where the route requires it, and answer technical questions during review. Registration in Brazil is held by the local importing company; our role is to supply the technical and documentary package that supports the application. 3. Applications tuned to local habits Oral care is calibrated against the stains that dominate Brazilian daily consumption — coffee, chimarrão and tobacco. Food grades are matched to local powdered seasonings and powdered preparations. Cosmetic grades suit the local demand for oil control and high-UV sunscreen formulas. 4. A complete technical package TDS, MSDS, COA and method-validation reports, plus reference formulas and application guidelines. Our technical team provides remote formula troubleshooting, which shortens development work on the customer side. 5. Stable large-volume supply Annual capacity above 80,000 tonnes, with safety stock held on conventional specifications. We accept annual framework orders and phased delivery, and schedule production ahead of the customer's demand plan to absorb the long ocean transit from China to Brazilian ports. 6. Logistics built for Brazil FOB Qingdao, CIF or CFR Santos and Rio de Janeiro, and DDP door delivery to inland cities including São Paulo. We handle Brazilian import clearance documentation and work with the customer's nominated forwarder. Application guidelines General handling 1.Feeding sequence — add silica powder during the dry-powder mixing stage. Mix it uniformly with the other powder components first, then introduce liquid components step by step; direct contact with a large volume of liquid causes agglomeration. 2.Dispersion — allow enough mixing time and appropriate shear for the formulation system, so that particles disperse evenly and the grade performs as specified. 3.Environment — keep production and storage areas dry and relative humidity within a controlled range to prevent moisture pickup and caking. Recommended dosage by industry Oral care (toothpaste abrasive): 18% – 25% in whitening toothpaste formulas; adjust against the target RDA and the cleaning performance required. Food (anti-caking / flow aid / carrier): conventionally 0.5% – 5%. The actual level must stay within the additive limits ANVISA sets for the specific food category — silicon dioxide is listed as INS 551, and the applicable entry should be checked for each product type. Pharmaceutical excipients (glidant / anti-adherent): 0.1% – 3% in oral solid dosage forms such as tablets and capsules; adjust to the process requirements. Cosmetics and personal care: 2% – 15% for thickening, matting and oil absorption in creams, lotions, scrubs and powder products; adjust to the target texture and efficacy. Storage Keep in the original sealed packaging, in a cool, dry, ventilated area, away from moisture and volatile contaminants. Shelf life is 24 months in unopened original packaging under the stated storage conditions. Reseal promptly after opening and use within a short period to avoid moisture pickup and microbial contamination. Application spectrum Primary sectors 1. Oral care and toothpaste Suitable for most oral-care formulations, with both abrasive cleaning and a degree of thickening: Whitening toothpaste — removes extrinsic stain and polishes enamel, aimed at the coffee, chimarrão and tobacco staining common in Brazil, with RDA inside the internationally accepted range. Daily deep-cleaning toothpaste — removes plaque and polishes the tooth surface; compatible with the mint and fruit flavour systems used in the Brazilian market. Transparent toothpaste — specifications matched to the refractive index of the base, for high paste transparency with mild cleaning and thickening. Tooth powder and professional polishing paste — good powder flow and polishing performance for tooth powders and professional prophylaxis pastes. 2. Food manufacturing Used as a permitted food additive, silicon dioxide (E551 / INS 551): Anti-caking in powdered foods — powdered seasonings, instant coffee, chimarrão powder, milk powder, creamer, edible salt and icing sugar; prevents moisture pickup and caking and improves flow. Processing aid in beer and beverages — clarifying aid that adsorbs protein and polyphenol haze, improving clarity and extending shelf life. Carrier for food ingredients — adsorption carrier for liquid flavours, sweeteners and nutritional fortifiers, converting them into free-flowing powders. Food-contact applications — meets food-contact material requirements, including desiccant sachets and other indirect-contact uses. 3. Pharmaceutical excipients Produced to the USP/NF monograph and used in oral solid dosage forms: Tablets and capsules — glidant and anti-adherent; improves powder flow, reduces friction against punches and dies, improves weight accuracy and surface finish, and prevents sticking. Powders and granules — flow aid and carrier; improves the uniformity of low-dose actives and the stability of the preparation. Registration support — the technical data required for pharmaceutical registration in Brazil is supplied with the material. 4.
