Product description

Silica dioxide, a specialized adsorbent for beer production, is a functional material developed to address common challenges in brewing such as "cold cloudiness, excessive polyphenol-protein complexes, and rapid flavor degradation". Through precise pore size regulation (matching the molecular dimensions of polyphenols) combined with modified production processes, this product complies with international standards including GB 25576-2020, FDA, and EU regulations.

The product achieves over 99.5% purity with a three-dimensional mesoporous structure that precisely adsorbs polyphenols (e.g., catechins and chlorogenic acid) and protein complexes (primary cause of cold cloudiness) in beer. Special surface treatment prevents adsorption of malt aroma and hop fragrance components, ensuring flavor retention rate 97%. Heavy metal residues remain well below international limits, maintaining stable performance during low-temperature storage at 0-10℃°C.

3. Application description

Relying on the precision aperture design and flavor retention technology, the silica dioxide adsorbent specially used by Zhongqi Beer can achieve "anti-turbidity stability, prolong shelf life and improve flavor" in the brewing and filtration process of beer. The specific applications are as follows:

1. Prevent cold turbidity: Add 0.3%-0.6% before fermentation and filtration of light beer and craft beer. Through precise adsorption of polyphenol-protein complexes (which are prone to precipitate and form turbidity at low temperatures) with a pore size of 9-10nm, the cold turbidity value of beer can be reduced from 0.8EBC to below 0.2EBC, solving the problem of "cold turbidity" during storage of 0-4beer and improving product appearance;

2. Extension of shelf life: adsorb the polyphenols in beer (polyphenols are easy to oxidize and lead to flavor deterioration), reduce the generation of oxidation products (such as aldehydes, ketones), so that the shelf life of beer is extended from 6 months to 12-18 months, and the flavor decay rate during storage is less than or equal to 5%;

3. Enhancing Foam and Flavor: Instead of adsorbing foam proteins (such as hop resins) in beer, it improves foam stability by removing impurities, resulting in a 10% increase in foam persistence (for example, extending the duration of light-colored beer foam from 3 minutes to 3 minutes and 20 seconds). It simultaneously preserves malt and hop aromas while ensuring the original flavor profile remains unchanged.
